Salthouse Studio with a Natural Lacquered Floor
This Slate coloured Salthouse Studio has been installed at the bottom of our customer’s garden in Charlton, London to be used as a pottery studio.
At 2.4 x 4.2m in size, there will be plenty of room inside for the customer to keep her kiln, have a drying rack, and a workstation, and our Salthouse Studios have full-length glass windows and doors in them to allow plenty of natural light inside.
This Salthouse has got double doors and four windows in the front side, as well as two fanlight windows on the back wall to allow for ventilation.
Our Salthouse Studio is now fully installed, painted, wired up, heated and we absolutely love it! Very impressed overall with how it looks and how solid it all feels.

The sloping, pent roof has been covered with a protective layer of heavy duty felt, which is a thick, waterproof felt that is torched on to increase its durability. The paint colour, Slate, is from our Valtti colour range, and it is an opaque, waterproof paint that has a long re-decoration cycle.
Inside the studio, the customer has got full insulation, natural matchboard lining on the walls, an electrical pack with a heater, and a natural lacquer on the floor, so they will be able to use their pottery studio all year round.
Our Garden Studios are very versatile buildings that can be used for a range of purposes, from art studios and hobby rooms, to offices or even garden retreats.
