Salthouse Studio in Finchley, London

This modern garden studio is one of our Salthouse Studios and it has been installed for a customer in Finchley, London. Our customer is a ceramic artist so they were on the hunt for a building that would make the ideal pottery studio. They opted for our Salthouse Studio as they liked its contemporary design, which includes an abundance of glazing that will allow for plenty of natural light inside. Once our customer had chosen the style of building they liked, it was designed to order by our CAD engineers before being hand-built using FSC® certified timber inside the factory at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk. This studio was also delivered and installed by our expert installations team, which is included in the price of the building as part of our end-to-end service.

From 1.8 x 2.4m to 4.8 x 6.0m, our Salthouse is available in more than 25 different sizes, with this one measuring 2.4 x 3.0m. It has a pent roof and shiplap cladding as standard, both of which help to aid the studios stylish design. One of the main design features of the Salthouse is the fully glazed front side which will ensure that maximum light reaches the inside of the building. The Salthouse is also fitted with at least one fanlight window for ventilation purposes. All of the windows on our Salthouse Studios are made using 4mm toughened safety glass and they are double glazed too.

As our customer planned to spend a lot of time working inside their studio, it was important that the building was equipped for use throughout the year. This customer’s Salthouse is fully lined, with natural matchboard, and insulated in the walls, ceiling and floor, to ensure that it is comfortable for use in every season.

To further the modern look our customer was hoping to achieve with their building, they’ve opted for the outside of their Salthouse to be painted in the colour Ivory from our exterior paint system, which achieves a bright and clean look. Our fully opaque exterior paint system is applied in four coats and offers a high quality, weather resistant finish.
