Classic Cley Summerhouse in Ulverston, Cumbria
This Classic Summerhouse is one of our Cley Summerhouses
and it has been installed in a rural location in Ulverston, Cumbria, for a customer in need of somewhere to relax and unwind. It was designed and hand-made to order inside our Norfolk factory before being delivered and installed by members of our expert installations team, which is included as part of our end-to-end service.
This Cley Summerhouse has a classic shape with an elegant hipped roof covered in Cedar Shingles and windows in three out of the four sides, as well as in the double doors, to give the inside of the building a light and airy feel. The windows are all made from 4mm toughened safety glass and are leaded in style to give the summerhouse a more traditional look. The outside of the building has weatherboard cladding, made from FSC® certified timber boards that are left sawn, giving this building a more rustic look. To decorate, our customer has chosen to have the outside of their summerhouse painted using our exterior paint system. They opted for the colour Cream to give the building a bright and clean-looking finish.
Everything was well explained and communication was constant and timely. The sales team at Hilliers Hermitage went out of their way to come to our garden and show us how our ordered Cley Summerhouse would fit. The installation team - Craig and Mark - were wonderfully helpful with their suggestions for how to position internal fittings, as was the electrician.

The walls and ceiling on this Cley Summerhouse are lined and insulated to enable it to be used all year round. The walls inside are lined using natural matchboard and a natural lacquer has been applied to the floor, which will give it added protection while also providing it with a nice sheen.
This summerhouse measures 2.4 x 3.0m, but our Cley is available in a range of sizes from 1.8 x 2.4m to 3.6 x 4.8m.
