Holkham Summerhouse with Electrical Pack

This 2.4 x 3.0m Holkham Summerhouse has been installed in our customer’s garden in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. The positioning of the summerhouse means that our customer will have an excellent view of their beautiful garden, while they relax and exercise.

The customer opted for cedar shingle tiles on the roof, which are a terracotta colour for around the first six months until they start to turn into their natural, silvery hue. Cedar is a sustainable and renewable material that is easily manipulated due to it being a softwood; it also has a life expectancy of more than 50 years and is a great natural insulator.

A summerhouse can be used for a variety of different purposes, the possibilities increasing even more if extra features are added to the building, such as insulation and an electrical pack, as these then give customers the opportunity to use the building all-year-round, instead of just during the summer months.

When I first wanted to look at the Crane display at Burford, Andrew was wonderfully helpful. He instantly understood what I was looking for, although I was not sure myself, and persuaded me to look at sheds which were cheaper than I originally thought I wanted. As a direct result of this, I decided to order a Holkham Summerhouse as well as a couple of sheds! When Andrew came to my house to advise on where the sheds should be sited, he again suggested solutions I had not thought of; he pointed out that my original idea involved unacceptably pruning a tree. By the end of it, I felt that Andrew was a personal friend, and later when I spoke to Robert on the phone, it was clear that everything I had discussed with Andrew had been passed on so I did not have to explain anything and felt that he too was a friend. It was a very professional operation.
