Dianne has always taken great pride in her garden at her home in Cumnor, creating a space that feels both beautiful and practical throughout the year. So, when she decided she needed a new garden shed, she wanted something that would not only provide useful storage but also enhance the overall look of her garden.

Dianne is an active participant of the National Garden Scheme and regularly opens her garden to visitors, sharing the space she has carefully created with others for charity.

After exploring different options, Dianne quickly realised that quality and craftsmanship were the most important things to her.

“The whole Crane experience was wonderful; they gently guided me through what I needed with no hard sell at all.”  Says Dianne.

Wanting a building that would stand the test of time, and complement her outdoor space perfectly, she chose a handcrafted Superior Shed that blends seamlessly into the garden’s surroundings.

Although excited about the project, Dianne admits she was initially nervous about the installation process affecting her carefully maintained flower beds and borders.

“I was worried about men working in the garden ruining my borders, but I needn’t have been,” she says. “The team were incredibly careful and respectful of the garden.”

“Everything felt well organised, and it was clear how much care went into both the product and the installation,” she explains.

Now in place, the Superior Shed has become an essential and much-admired part of the garden. Throughout the year, Dianne uses the space as a practical workspace for potting seedlings, organising tools and keeping everything she needs close to hand while gardening.

But once summer arrives, the shed takes on a completely different role.

“In the warmer months it becomes our little ‘G&T shed’,” Dianne says. They invite friends along and enjoy the garden together.

As well as being practical, the shed has helped bring the whole garden together aesthetically, becoming a real focal point within the outdoor space.

“The shed has made such a difference. It’s practical, looks beautiful, and it completes the garden. What’s not to like!”

The carefully chosen colour and traditional design sit perfectly within the setting, adding character while remaining functional for everyday use.

For Dianne, investing in a high-quality garden building was about more than simply adding storage – it was about creating a garden shed she could continue to enjoy for years to come. Her beautifully styled Superior Shed has even gone on to win Shed of the Season, something she said was a lovely surprise.

Looking back on the experience, she wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Crane to others considering a garden building of their own.
