The 26th ArtWave Festival is taking place around Brighton, East Sussex from 17th August to 1st September 2019. As Crane Garden Buildings are one of the two headline supporters of ArtWave this year, we thought we would give you an insight into what it is all about and what you can expect from this year’s festival.
Running since 1993, this annual festival showcases the work of more than 140 creative people from Lewes, Seaford, Newhaven and the surrounding villages. With jewellery, crafts, metalwork, ceramics, glass, textiles, printmaking, illustration and painting all on show this year, it’s set to be very inspiring.
There are five different trails to follow that will have you exploring the different villages that are part of the festival as well as an abundance of studios, homes and galleries you can walk around and meet the makers that are showcasing their works. There are also exciting films, talks and workshops to get involved in.
And the best part? All the venues are FREE to visit during ArtWave opening times!
Don’t forget to take a look at the Artwave Festival’s website.
At Crane Garden Buildings, we are very proud to be supporting ArtWave and the talent of local artists. We know that makers need to have a quiet, peaceful space to work so that’s why our range of summerhouses, studios and sheds are fully adaptable to turn into a creative workspace. Our East Sussex show site is just a couple of minutes’ drive from the festival’s Lewes trail, so please feel free to pop in to see how we could design a creative space just for you.
