Inside, the building benefits from insulation and natural matchboard timber lining, which the customer opted to leave unpainted, giving the studio a warm, cabin feel. If they had wished for it to be painted, they could have chosen from our list of interior eggshell paints, which includes a number of Farrow & Ball colours. The floor of the interior is finished in a natural lacquer, and our customer opted to have our thicker heavy-duty floorboards laid down so that frequent footfall or heavy equipment (such as gym or gaming apparatus) won’t damage the floor. The studio has an interior height of 2.1m which provides plenty of space without requiring any planning arrangements. Entirely double-glazed, the building also benefits from our additional electrical pack with a heater, which comprises four double sockets, an eight-way consumer unit, LED spotlights and an externally mounted outdoor socket.

Other key features of the building's exterior include the apex roof, which is covered in striking cedar shingles, and the black guttering which will keep the elements off. There is one opening window for ventilation, while all of the other, full-length fixed windows provide ample natural light. The customers opted for polished chrome hardware, which has the same contemporary style as the building itself, and the smooth shiplap cladding finished in Slate grey from our unique Crane Exterior paint range, a popular colour choice for our luxury garden studios.
