This 10’ x 14’ Burnham Studio with apex roof has been installed in our customer’s large garden to use as a games room for their family to use.
The Burnham Studio is very similar to our Salthouse Studio, with its wall of full-length glass and fanlight windows. The only difference between these two buildings are their roofs: the Burnham has got an apex roof and the Salthouse has a pent roof.
Both studios have their stylistic appeal, and many customers choose based on that preference alone, but other considerations include customers preferring an apex roof for the taller internal height, or preferring the pent roof to fall below the normal height required for Planning Permission.
This Burnham has got cedar shingle tiles on the roof, which is a rustic-looking, natural material that has a life-expectancy of 25-35 years. The tiles start off as a bright terracotta colour, and then, after around six months, they will have weathered to a silver/grey colour.
These roofing tiles have been paired with the colour Twine for the body of the building, which is a warm, cream colour from our Valtti colour range.
Internally, there is natural matchboard lining on the walls, full insulation, an electrical pack, draught excluders in the doors and windows, and all the glass is double glazed, so the customer will be able to use this building all year round it they wish to.
