This hand-crafted summerhouse was recently installed in Hawick, near Dumfries for a customer look for a garden haven from which they could enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside surrounding their property. They opted for our
Holkham Summerhouse as they liked the design features of the doors and windows in the side and the pitched roof. Once we had our customer’s requirements, our in-house CAD team designed this building to order before it was hand-crafted by our factory team at our Narford HQ in Norfolk. This stunning summerhouse was then delivered and assembled by our customer’s address by our expert installations team.
The Holkham Summerhouse is available in a range of sizes, starting from 1.8m x 2.4m (6 x 8ft) all the way up to 4.8m x 6.0m (16 x 20ft), with plenty of sizes in between. This particular summerhouse measures 3.6 x 4.8m (12 x 16ft) and features an apex roof covered in our heavy-duty roofing felt, double glazed windows which are made in Georgian style and a set of joinery-made double doors.
When I first wanted to look at the Crane display at Burford, Andrew was wonderfully helpful. He instantly understood what I was looking for, although I was not sure myself, and persuaded me to look at sheds which were cheaper than I originally thought I wanted. As a direct result of this, I decided to order a Holkham Summerhouse as well as a couple of sheds! When Andrew came to my house to advise on where the sheds should be sited, he again suggested solutions I had not thought of; he pointed out that my original idea involved unacceptably pruning a tree. By the end of it, I felt that Andrew was a personal friend, and later when I spoke to Robert on the phone, it was clear that everything I had discussed with Andrew had been passed on so I did not have to explain anything and felt that he too was a friend. It was a very professional operation.

Our customer wanted a more rustic look to their summerhouse, so they opted for our weatherboard timber cladding, treated in a Light Oak preservative to protect the timber from fungi and woodworm, and to give it a natural looking sheen. They also chose to keep their Holkham Summerhouse looking traditional on the inside as the walls are unlined, which is the standard option for this garden building, making it ideal for use in the summertime.
