Garden Gym

A customer with a passion for fitness has chosen one of our garden buildings to turn into their very own garden gym, complete with Pilates equipment and a reformer machine.

They opted for a 3.6 x 4.2m Apex Garden Room with a reduced roof pitch for their outdoor gym building. This ensured that the overall height of the building was under 2.5m to meet permitted development regulations. It has grey slate effect roof tiles, Georgian windows and smooth shiplap cladding. It has also been painted in a two-tone fashion using our Exterior Paint System, with the main colour being Verdigris and the doors and windows highlighted beautifully in Ivory.

The Apex Garden Room is fully lined and insulated for year-round comfort, ensuring our customer can use their garden gym room in every season. Electrics and a heater are also included in the overall price, which provides our customer with lighting and plug sockets, so they can plug in their Pilates reformer machine once it arrives. They also chose our heavy-duty floorboards to help support the weight of their gym equipment. The heavy-duty boards are ex 38mm thick compared to our standard ex 19mm thickness.

Our customer’s outdoor gym building has the walls and ceiling lined with Ivory painted matchboard and Copenhagen engineered flooring laid, offering a light and bright feel inside. The engineered flooring sits on top of the existing floorboards, with a layer of underlay in between the two, providing further insulating and sound-absorbing benefits.

After installation, our customer has added a Yoga mat, exercise ball, weights and a bench seat with plenty of storage for additional equipment inside their garden room.
