Morston Summerhouse with Painted Matchboard Lining
This Morston Summerhouse has been installed in our customer’s garden in Bletchingley in Surrey to become the outside focal point for their friends and family to gather in.
At 5.4 x 4.8m in size, this is a very large summerhouse that will be able to cater for many people, which is exactly what the customer wants. Inside the summerhouse, they are going to put comfy sofas, a few shelves and a coffee table for the adults on one side, and the other side will be made into a games area with table tennis, air hockey and a pool table for the kids (and probably adults too!).
This will create a wonderful place to congregate in when having parties, and it’ll be good for the customer’s children to blow off some steam on an everyday basis too.
The lure of the Morston for many people is the fact that it’s got a veranda. The veranda on the Morston, whatever the size, is 1.2m deep, which provides a nice little area to enjoy the garden under shelter if it starts getting a bit loud or crowded inside.
There is heavy duty felt on the roof, which is a highly durable, non-rip material, and on the shiplap cladding, the customer opted for Valtti Pebble paint. Pebble is a warm, neutral colour (a cream/grey shade) that blends very well in the customer’s garden.
A very quick thanks to all your team for our Morston Summerhouse which was installed today - just outstanding in every way.

Along with the double doors at the front that have glass in them, there is a large window on both sides of the doors, and another, smaller set of widows on the left-hand side of the summerhouse, so it will be very light and airy on the inside. The top window on the side can be opened, so along with the double doors (that have hooks to keep them open when necessary), the customer will get a nice breeze flowing through the building as well, which maybe a relief sometimes with all those bodies inside.
Inside the summerhouse, the customer opted for painted matchboard lining, which will again help with the light and airy feel inside, as the walls will be painted in ivory paint. They also wanted a natural lacquer on the floor, floor insulation and an electrical pack with a heater. The insulation and heater means that the customer won’t be limited to using the summerhouse in the summer, but will be able to use it all year round.
If you like the look of this Morston Summerhouse, but you can’t fit one this large in your garden, be assured that we can cater to almost any size garden and they can be made much smaller (or bigger) if you wish.
