Weatherboard Clad Cley Summerhouse measuring 2.4 x 3.0m

In this gorgeous garden located in Bradmore, Nottinghamshire, we have installed this Cley Summerhouse for a customer wanting a building where they can sit and enjoy their surroundings from all throughout the year. With the help of the sales advisors at one of our National Show Centres, our customer chose what exterior and interior design options they wanted, which enabled our CAD engineers to create the manufacturing plans of a building tailor-made to our customer’s requirements. It was hand-made to order from FSC® certified timber inside our Norfolk factory before being delivered and installed in our customer’s garden by experts from our installations team.

Measuring 2.4 x 3.0m, this Cley Summerhouse has windows in three out of its four sides, as well as in the double doors, allowing for plenty of natural light inside. Our customer has chosen to the windows of their Cley Summerhouse leaded as they liked the traditional look it gave to their building, but you could also choose from Plain or Georgian style windows in your summerhouse if you would prefer. To further accentuate the traditional look of this summerhouse, our customer has opted for weatherboard cladding, made from timber boards that are left sawn for a more rustic finish. The hipped roof is covered in cedar shingles, which is contrasted nicely by the Lizard painted exterior, a green-toned shade from our exterior paint system.

Everything was well explained and communication was constant and timely. The sales team at Hilliers Hermitage went out of their way to come to our garden and show us how our ordered Cley Summerhouse would fit. The installation team - Craig and Mark - were wonderfully helpful with their suggestions for how to position internal fittings, as was the electrician.

Internally, this summerhouse benefits from having the walls and ceiling lined and insulated, which will help to keep things comfortable inside whatever the weather. The walls have been lined with Ivory painted matchboard and the floor has a natural lacquer applied that helps to protect the timber while also giving it a nice sheen.
