Designed and manufactured by hand at our Norfolk HQ, this 6 x 10ft Thornham Summerhouse was recently installed for a customer wanting a garden room ready for summer use. Assembled onsite by our team of experienced, professional and friendly fitters, the summerhouse is made using FSC© Certified timber and boasts a host of superior-quality features. Chosen by our customers from our range of luxury lifestyle buildings, the Thornham is a versatile summerhouse that lets in plenty of natural light and provides an entertaining or relaxation space away from the house, surrounded by nature and wildlife in the garden.
The exterior design of the Thornham Summerhouse is attractively classical. It has a pent roof, which comes clad with our torched-on heavy-duty roofing felt as standard and has a slight overhang which protects the double doors from the elements and provides a small amount of shelter. Our customers also opted to add black guttering to their summerhouse, which will further protect the building and ensure optimum longevity. In terms of access, the double summerhouse doors provide plenty of space, and along with four opening windows, will ensure fresh air and lots of natural light throughout the warmer months.
Internally, our summerhouses can be tailored to our customer's exact requirements, with optional extras ranging from electrical packs and insulation to stunning interior lining finished in a choice of Farrow & Ball colours. In this instance, our customers only want to use the summerhouse as an entertaining and relaxing space during the summer months, so they didn’t require added warmth, lighting or power. If, however, they wanted to make a more versatile space that offered year-round use, they could have added double glazing, insulation and an electrical pack with a heater to the building, which is all easily done during the design stages. Finally, to match their new summerhouse with their existing shed and stunning garden surroundings, our customers selected shiplap cladding painted in the beautiful, timeless shade of Ash.
