Planning Permission For Garden Studios

At Crane Garden Buildings, our made to measure Garden Rooms and buildings work seamlessly in a variety of garden styles and sizes. We want to make the process as easy as possible for you, and one of the top questions we receive is around the subject of Planning Permission. With any building or project, this is a sensible topic to address.

However, it is highly unlikely that a Garden Studio or Garden Office requires planning permission.

If the Studio or Office is going in the back garden and you do not live in a listed building it is in the majority of cases fine to install your Studio. This applies even if you are living in areas of outstanding beauty or areas designated as National Parks etc. This is also unaffected by the colour that you may choose. If you live in a listed building you should consult your local planning office. But if you do need planning permission we have a very high success rate. It is an easy process and simple to achieve and we can offer guidance with this procedure.

We have our own in-house CAD designer who, upon placing your order, is able to supply your to-scale elevation drawings to supply alongside your planning application. For technical details or more information please see our Planning Permission Page or use our Planning Permission Calculator.
