This small summerhouse has been installed in the garden of a customer in Tollerton, Nottinghamshire for a customer who needed a building to store the teddy bears that they make. The required a building that was small in size, so they opted for one of Blakeney Summerhouses
that measures 2.4 x 1.8m. It was designed by our in-house CAD engineers before being hand-made to order by the skilled craftsmen and women that work inside our factory at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk. Like all of our garden buildings, it was delivered and installed at our customer’s address by our expert installations team, which is included in the price as part of our end-to-end service.
Our customer has selected the 2.4 x 1.8m size for their summerhouse, which is the smallest size we make our Blakeney summerhouse in. If you require a bigger size, our Blakeney is available in a wide range of standard sizes, all the way up to 4.8 x 6.0m. Our Blakeney is a chalet-style summerhouse with windows made from 4mm toughed safety glass in three out of the four sides, as well as in the double doors, which will allow plenty of natural light inside.
I just wanted to let you know that we have been delighted with our Blakeney Summerhouse and it is getting a lot of use despite the appalling weather we have had since it went up on 13th June. The specification we eventually worked out with your help is exactly what we wanted and fits the site perfectly. Communication with the factory worked well and the team who came to install it did a very professional job. We will have no hesitation in recommending Crane to our friends.

Our Blakeney Summerhouses are designed with an apex roof that features a charming overhang. There are a number of different roof coverings you can choose from to customise your building, but our customer has opted for our standard option of heavy-duty roofing felt. The felt is made from a non-rip, extreme wear material and it is torched-on with a propane torch to increase its longevity. Our customer has also opted for their building to be clad with smooth shiplap style cladding, which has been treated with a Light Oak Preservative to protect the timber from fungi and woodworm, while also giving it a nice sheen.
Like all of our garden buildings, our Blakeney Summerhouses are fully customisable so we can tailor them to suit whatever your requirements may be. You can choose full insulation, internal lining, double glazing, and even electrics, to be installed in order to make your building suitable for use all throughout the year. If you would like to take a closer look at our buildings, we would recommend paying a visit to one of our UK show sites. You can locate the one nearest to you here, or alternatively, you can give us a call on 01760 444229, where one of our advisors will be happy to give you more information and help you arrange your visit.
