An outwardly simple building, this 2.4 x 3.0m Superior Shed
has been installed in our customers’ garden in Wootton, Northamptonshire to use as a potting shed and use as their gardening hub.
Internally, the customer has chosen to have a 3.0m long workbench located underneath the windows in the left-hand side; this is where the seedlings and potted plants will be kept to help them catch the rays of sunshine that are so detrimental to their growth.
Since the customer is also going to be spending a lot of time inside their shed, and to help stimulate growth in the winter months, the customer has chosen to have oak faced ply lining on the walls, and insulation in the walls and ceiling.
The apex roof has been built to a lower than standard roof pitch to keep the building under 2.5m for planning regulations, and it has been covered in our heavy duty felt. This felt is a thick, construction grade felt that is propane torched onto the roof to ensure it is waterproof, and it has a life expectancy of 12-15 years.
I’ve been meaning for the last week to write praising Cranes to the skies and telling you just how thrilled we are with our beautiful new building... ...We are SO impressed with all the members of staff we've had the pleasure of meeting over the period we've been planning this - without exception everyone in Cranes has been helpful, considerate and cheery and nobody told us that to try and get a top of the range biuilding into a space without proper access was foolhardy - they just made sure it happened. It's truly wonderful in this day and age to encounter such superior, faultless and courteous organisation and implementation. Many congratulations and thanks to you all.

To finish the outside of the Superior, the customer wanted to keep it looking natural, so they just opted for our Light Oak preservative, which protects the timber from woodworm and fungi.
