Summerhouse in Royston - Crane Garden Buildings

This Morston Summerhouse looks wonderful in our customer’s beautifully tended garden in Royston, Cambridgeshire.

The customer has got a large garden, and behind the photograph is a mass of wonderfully coloured shrubbery and plants that will give the customer a great view to look at when relaxing in their new summerhouse.

This Morston is 3.6 x 3.6m in size, which will be a great size for the customer to make the inside comfortable with sofas, chairs, a table and maybe even a bookcase, filled with a selection of their favourite novels to dip into when they please. Surrounded by trees and their garden haven, this will become a perfect place for the customers to relax in and enjoy their garden in peace.

With the 1.2m deep veranda on the front of the summerhouse, this will be a good outside relaxation spot, maybe with the placing of a comfortable rocking chair or suitable alternative, this can become a great outside relaxation spot to get a bit of fresh air, while still remaining sheltered from any strong gusts of wind or rain if it’s flowing in the right direction.

The customer opted for cedar shingles on the roof, a roofing material that looks great in a bright terracotta colour (this fades naturally over time to produce a fascinating silver colour), as well as providing the roof underneath with a strong and sturdy natural material to protect it.

The terracotta of the roofing tiles has been matched with the subtle green of Lichen paint from our exterior paint system. Our exterior paint system is a rubberised paint that offers the ultimate protection for your garden building, as it flexes with the movement of the timber, making sure it doesn’t crack.

I dealt with Peter initially, who I found very helpful, honest, and accommodating, without whom we may not have committed to buying this at the time we placed the order. Joe and Tony, the fitters, were super-efficient and diligent. Their time on site was not intrusive at all and they got the job done to the highest specification within the expected time. We were very impressed with the service from start to finish. Our Morston Summerhouse is life-changing for us and a dream come true. Thank you.

Inside the summerhouse, the customer opted for natural matchboard lining and insulation, which gives the walls a smooth, natural appearance as well as ensuring that the building will be good for use all year round due to the added warmth insulation can provide.

This Morston Summerhouse suits our customer’s needs perfectly by giving them a place to relax and enjoy their garden in that they can use all year round and has a veranda.
