This summerhouse has been installed for a customer based in North Ascot, Berkshire, who wanted a building to use as a pump room for their swimming pool. As our customer is located nearby to our Sunningdale show site, they were able to pop in to take a look at all of our display buildings before choosing our
Blakeney Summerhouse as their preferred building. Once the style of building had been selected, it was then designed by our onsite CAD engineers before being hand-crafted from FSC® certified timber by skilled craftsmen inside our factory at our Norfolk HQ. It was then delivered and assembled at our customer’s address by members of our trustworthy installations team, who are the experts in making sure our buildings are installed to the high standards we pride ourselves on.
Our Blakeney is designed to be a chalet style summerhouse, with a charming roof overhang and chalet style doors and windows to allow plenty of natural light inside. The roof on this particular Blakeney has been laid with Grey Slate Effect tiles while the windows are made using 4mm toughened safety glass, finished with polished chrome furniture.
I just wanted to let you know that we have been delighted with our Blakeney Summerhouse and it is getting a lot of use despite the appalling weather we have had since it went up on 13th June. The specification we eventually worked out with your help is exactly what we wanted and fits the site perfectly. Communication with the factory worked well and the team who came to install it did a very professional job. We will have no hesitation in recommending Crane to our friends.

To give a smooth exterior finish, the outside of the building has been clad using shiplap timber boards, which is the standard for our Blakeney Summerhouse. You also have the option of keeping the standard Light Oak finish or choosing a paint from either our exterior paint system or Farrow & Ball’s range of exterior colours. This customer has opted to decorate the outside of their building from our exterior paint system, using the blue-green shade of Verdigris.
Our customer opted for a Blakeney that measures 2.4 x 1.8m, which is the smallest size we make, but they can be made as big as 4.8 x 6.0m, if required.
