Rustic Superior Shed in Pangbourne, Berkshire

1.5 x 2.1m Rustic Superior Shed with Weatherboard Cladding treated with a Light Oak Preservative

This rustic shed has been installed for a customer based in Pangbourne, Berkshire, who wanted a storage shed where they could keep their garden tools. They opted for one of our Superior Sheds as they wanted a shed that provided them with extra height on the inside. It was designed and hand-crafted to order using FSC® certified timber inside our factory at our Norfolk HQ before being delivered and assembled at our customer’s address by our expert installations team.

As the space they had in their garden was limited, our customer opted for a shed that measures 1.5 x 2.1m to make the most of the space they had available to them. They chose their shed to have an apex roof with one of our framed, ledged and braced single doors in the gable and two windows in the side, one of which is opening to provide ventilation to the inside.

I had to put pen to paper or rather finger to keyboard and email you. After 12 weeks wait and a big bill, My shed arrived Tuesday 10th September. What can I say, this is not a shed it is a vastly superior model railway building. Well worth the expense and wait. Roger and Steve arrived on time and although having to navigate down the overcrowded cul-d-sac to My house, were both cheerful and efficient. The shed is more than expected even after visiting Narford to view the sheds. From the first phone call, through dealing and ordering with James to the final payment over the phone everyone at Cranes has been both friendly and professional. Although there was a small problem it has now been sorted in your usual friendly manner. Once again thank you all for your wonderful service and a shed to make the neighbours jealous and modelling an even bigger pleasure.

The apex roof on this building is covered with heavy duty roofing felt, which is torched on with a propane torch to increase its longevity. It is also lined with guttering that will collect rainwater and deposit it away from the building to help protect the bottom boards of the shed. The outside is clad using our weatherboard cladding which are made from boards that are left sawn to give a more rustic finish. The cladding has then been treated with a light oak preservative which will help protect the shed from fungi and woodworm while giving the timber a natural looking sheen.
