Garden Studio in Tilehurst, Berkshire

This garden studio has been installed for a customer based in Tilehurst, Berkshire, as a relaxing garden retreat. Our customer selected one of our Salthouse Studios from our wide range of garden buildings as they liked it modern and contemporary design. As all of our garden buildings are designed to order, our customer was able to select all of the interior and exterior features they wanted to include on their building in order to have it tailored to their tastes and requirements. After the manufacturing drawings were created by our CAD designers, the Studio was hand-crafted by our skilled craftsmen using FSC® certified timber inside our Norfolk factory. It was then delivered and installed at our customer’s address by members of our installations team, who are the experts in ensuring our buildings are assembled to the high standards we pride ourselves on. Delivery and installation are included in the overall price of our buildings as part of our end-to-end service.

Our stylish Salthouse is available in more than 25 sizes, with the smallest being 1.8 x 2.4m and 4.8 x 6.0m being the largest standard size we offer. However, we do also offer customisable sizes if our standard sizes do not quite fit what you are looking for. Our customer has opted for a 3.0 x 3.0m Salthouse with its pent roof covered in heavy duty felt, guttering fitted, and shiplap cladding painted in the blue-green shade of Verdigris from our Exterior Paint System. The most distinguishing feature of our Salthouse Studio is the fully glazed front elevation. There are floor-to-ceiling glass panels across the front of the building, with an additional panel on each side, which will allow for plenty of natural light to reach the inside, as well as providing our customer with a lovely view of their garden while using it.

To allow our customer to enjoy the benefits of their new Salthouse Studio throughout the year, it comes fully lined, insulated, and double glazed, as standard. Our customer has also chosen to have an electric pack installed as extra so their building can be supplied with power and lighting. The walls are lined with Ivory painted matchboard and a natural lacquer has been applied to the floor, which will help to protect the timber while also giving it a nice sheen.
