Chalet Summerhouse in Chipstead, Surrey
The Blakeney is a chalet-style summerhouse with an attractive roof overhang, double doors, and plenty of windows to allow an abundance of natural light inside.
To provide a comfortable space to use throughout most of the year, inside the customer chose to have full insulation and solid pine matchboard lining with the walls painted in Ivory to give the inside a light, bright feel. Double glazing will help to keep the heat in on cooler days and the heat out on warmer days, making this a cosy place to retreat to with a good book on a crisp spring morning, or hot summer’s day.
We can also install an electric pack to supply light and heat to your building, although this was not an option this customer chose.
Externally, the customer chose our grey slate effect tiles for the roof, which as well as looking very attractive, are also extremely durable meaning they are very low maintenance. The smooth shiplap cladding has been painted in the colour Twine from our Exterior paint range.

As well as the two single windows on the front gable, the customer also has two sets of fixed double windows, and two sets of opening double windows at the back of the summerhouse. This means they will have plenty of light from outside shining through, as well as allowing them to open the back windows for ventilation on warmer days.
The summerhouse has been finished with polished brass door and window furniture to add to the traditional styling of the building.
The Blakeney Summerhouse is also available unlined and unpainted if you would like a simple, summer-use building. To learn more about our Blakeney and the rest of our summerhouses, please click here.
