Superior Shed in Sikkens Walnut Paint

This Superior Shed has recently been installed in our customer’s garden for use as a garden tools storage shed in Thornham, Norfolk.

At 2.4 x 3.6m in size, this shed will provide the customer with plenty of room to store their gardening tools, flower bulbs and power tools. With a workbench underneath the set of three windows as well, this will provide a great storage area, allowing the customer to store items on top and underneath.

This shed has got an apex roof that has been covered in heavy-duty felt, and the cladding is shiplap. Shiplap offers a smooth finish for the timber and is less rustic in appearance than our weatherboard cladding.

The cladding has been finished off in Walnut Sikkens paint, which is a wonderfully rich brown colour, and Sikkens works really well if you want to keep the natural grain of the wood visible under the paint.

I had quite a lot of questions in the lead up to placing an order for a superior shed that is divided into two compartments - as studio at one end and garden shed at the other. I also wanted to alter some aspects of the shed design after submitting the order. Robert Phelps could not have been more helpful. The fact that he came on a site visit was very reassuring and the whole process was the mark of a high quality product and service.

Our garden buildings are all made by hand in our Norfolk based factory (at our HQ) with FSC® certified timber that is sustainably sourced from our partner sawmill in Northern Sweden. The timber we use is Scandinavian Redwood and it has been growing slowly over the past 130 years to achieve a high-density timber that is less prone to dead knots.
