National Trust Oxburgh Shed In Dover
This National Trust Oxburgh Garden Shed
has been installed at the bottom of our customer’s multi-levelled garden in Dover, Kent to use as a storage shed for their gardening tools.
The Oxburgh is different in design to the other National Trust Sheds, as it has got a sloping pent roof to encourage rainwater to run-off towards the back of the building. A corrugated material has been used on this sloping roof to give it a waterproof and durable protective layer.
Other features include the black cast iron door furniture, the traditional Georgian window set and the vertical sawn boards for the cladding. This shed has been painted in Earls Grey, which is one of the six colours that be chosen from the National Trust Paint system.
The National Trust Sheds were designed with outbuildings of National Trust properties in mind. This particular building, the Oxburgh, was inspired by an old outbuilding at the moated country house of Oxburgh Hall, located outside Swaffham in West Norfolk.
The National Trust Sheds are traditional in style, if you require something more basic, try our Classic Sheds. If your needs are for something more heavy duty, take a look at our Superior Sheds.
We welcome visitors to each of our Seven UK Show Centres where you can browse a multitude of display buildings and get a feel for the quality of our offering.
