This Blakeney Summerhouse has been installed in a lovely little secluded spot in the garden of a couple based in Petworth, East Sussex. Our customers wanted a small summerhouse to enjoy the evening sun from, so they opted for one of our chalet-style Blakeney Summerhouses. It was designed and hand-made to order at our Norfolk HQ, before being delivered and installed at our customer’s address by our installations team, who are the experts in making sure our buildings are assembled to the high standards we pride ourselves on.

Our Blakeney is available in a wide range of sizes, from as small as 2.4 x 1.8m to as large as 4.8 x 6.0m. Our customer opted for our 2.4 x 2.4m size as the perfect fit for their characterful garden. The Blakeney has an overhanging apex roof design with a set of our chalet-style double doors and two single fixed windows in the gable, and an additional top-opening window on either side. The roof is covered in cedar shingles, and the windows are made using toughened safety glass.

I just wanted to let you know that we have been delighted with our Blakeney Summerhouse and it is getting a lot of use despite the appalling weather we have had since it went up on 13th June. The specification we eventually worked out with your help is exactly what we wanted and fits the site perfectly. Communication with the factory worked well and the team who came to install it did a very professional job. We will have no hesitation in recommending Crane to our friends.

Our Blakeney comes unlined as standard, making it purely for summertime use. However, as our customer liked the design, they opted to have the internal walls and ceiling lined and insulated, and the windows double glazed, to make it suitable for use throughout the year. The internal walls are lined with natural matchboard, which provides a nice contrast to the painted exterior colour of Ash from our Exterior Paint System.
