Blakeney Summerhouse with Opening Windows

This simply styled Blakeney Summerhouse is 2.4 x 2.4m in size, and it has been installed in our customer’s garden in Borrowash, Derbyshire to use as a simple garden retreat to relax in through the summer.

Heavy duty felt has been used on the roof to provide a thick, waterproof layer of protection, which has a life expectancy of 12-15 years. Shiplap cladding has been used to achieve a smooth, polished finish to the external timber, and the summerhouse has been painted in a Light Oak preservative, which protects the timber from fungi and woodworm.

The Blakeney is a chalet-style summerhouse with a roof overhang over the front gable, and plenty of natural light is allowed to illuminate the inside, with fully glazed double doors, and four sets of windows in total (the sides also have top-opening windows to allow fresh air inside).

I just wanted to let you know that we have been delighted with our Blakeney Summerhouse and it is getting a lot of use despite the appalling weather we have had since it went up on 13th June. The specification we eventually worked out with your help is exactly what we wanted and fits the site perfectly. Communication with the factory worked well and the team who came to install it did a very professional job. We will have no hesitation in recommending Crane to our friends.
