The National Trust paint range was inspired by nature and it gives a long-lasting protection on exterior timber. This Summerhouse has a covering of the Terrace Green timber protection which gives the garden building a beautifully traditional look. There are 6 different colours in this paint range; Wades Lanten, Terrace Green, Dome Ochre, Earls Grey, Disraeli Green and Painters Grey. These are all traditional looking and the final touch of elegance to make our National Trust garden building range stand out.
The cast iron Fleur-de-Leys hinges and door furniture comes with a mortice lock. These trimmings add to the character of this traditionally styled Flatford Summerhouse. A wonderful feature of this garden building is the traditionally vertically sawn cladding and black corrugated roofing over a pine tongue and groove ceiling.
Timber is a naturally durable resource with qualities that man-made materials do not possess. It looks, feels good, is well suited to the natural surroundings of a garden and it is more importantly environmentally friendly. Our garden buildings are built at our Norfolk factory HQ near Swaffham using slow-growing FSCĀ® certified timber sourced from our partner sawmill Northern Sweden, close to the Arctic Circle.
