Superior Shed 1.8 x 3.0m treated with a Grey Sikkens wood stain

This made-to-measure pent roof 1.8 x 3.0m Superior Shed has been installed for a customer based in Woolton Hill, Berkshire as a practical storage solution for their garden. Our customer lives close by to our show centre in Newbury, so they were able to visit us and take a look around our range of display buildings before deciding that our Superior Shed was the right building for them. Like all of our garden buildings, this tailored Superior Shed was designed and hand-made to order using FSC® certified timber inside the factory at our HQ in Narford, Norfolk, before being delivered and assembled at our customer’s address by members of our trustworthy installations team.

To fit the needs of our customer, this building has a tailor-made pent roof design, with a ledged, braced and framed single door and double window set in the side, and an additional single window in the gable. The roof has been covered in torched-on heavy duty felt and the windows are made using 4mm toughened safety glass. This particular shed makes a fantastic storage shed as it has our security pack installed as extra. The security pack compromises of a fully steel encased 7 lever lock that is anti-sawing, anti-picking, anti-cropping and anti-prising, non-returnable security screws on the door hinges that are impossible to unscrew, and 13mm stainless steel bars mortised into the window frames, which all help to provide this shed with extra protection.

Even though our customer is primarily going to use this shed as a strong and robust storage solution for their garden, they also wanted room to be able to work inside. With this in mind, we were able to install one of our workbenches across the gable end. Our workbenches are 900mm tall and 600mm deep, made using oak-faced plywood for a solid and sturdy finish. To finish, our customer has chosen the shiplap clad exterior to be treated with a Grey Sikkens wood stain, which not only has a high colour pay off, it also provides the timber with long lasting protection.
