Content & Social Media Executive (Maternity Cover)

We have a vacancy for a full-time maternity cover within our marketing team and are looking for a marketing specialist with at least 2 years’ experience as a Content and Social Media Executive. 


About the Role:


It’s an exciting time to join the Marketing Team at Crane Garden Buildings. We’re bolstering our marketing effort across all channels, including our website, organic and paid social media. We’re a small team with big ambitions, so it’s really important for the new member of the team to be equally passionate about our brand, products, channels, and with skillsets to match.


The successful candidate will be joining the team at a pivotal time, with many new challenges and opportunities ahead, including investment into the website to drive sales leads while improving customer engagement, utilising a variety of digital channels.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Generate increased business and leads with use of successful SEO and digital PR activities.
  • Generate content and copy to advertise the brand to generate enquiries, ensuring it is relevant, accurate, and gives a clear customer message.
  • Develop and deliver our SEO approach, with agency support, driving and constantly updating marketing’s content plans.
  • Liaise with other members of the marketing/sales team to maintain product knowledge. Ensure the promotion of the right message for customers, considering seasonal content and brand appeal.
  • Write a wide variety of website copy, utilising product and brand knowledge, ranging from blog and news articles to more product specific content and landing pages.
  • Use customer persona data to target the different customer types, depending on the platform it is being designed for.
  • Drive a variety of projects to assist the development and recognition of the Crane brand.
  • Work with our Performance Marketer to create and run successful paid social campaigns, and monitor the performance of the website, social media, and SEO to collectively. Produce action plans for increased performance and any remedial actions required.
  • Accountable for organic social media postings and platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and TikTok.
  • Create content for print materials, including brochures, flyers, and signage.
  • Creative input across all areas of marketing, including the ever-evolving development of the website to best suit the customers and deliver quality enquiries.
  • Work collaboratively with the photographer/videographer to ensure all imagery used on the website, social platforms and advertisements is of high quality, suits the aesthetic of the website and will appeal to the customer base.

Required Skills & Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a marketing team
  • B2C experience, ideally in the luxury sector 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Creative eye and strong attention to detail
  •  SEO and commercial content writing, proof reading & editing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SEO tools (Google analytics, SEMrush)
  • Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop and Canva
  • GCSE English & Math’s at grade 5 or above
  • Marketing qualification level 3 or above (preferred but not essential)

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
