You may be contemplating how nice it would be to have a garden building for you to use and enjoy, whether that is for storage or additional living space. For those of you with smaller gardens, you may have to get creative and plan how you can utilise the space you have available and use it to its full potential.
Whether you have a smaller garden or a particularly tight or unusually shaped spot in your garden that you want to make a feature of, our garden buildings come in all different shapes and sizes so you are bound to find one that fits. To give you some inspiration, we are here to show you what can be achieved in a smaller space by discussing 3 garden building types to suit small gardens.
Corner Garden Buildings
One of our most popular space-saving garden building solutions is a corner garden building. They are particularly suited to smaller gardens and tight spaces in bigger gardens as they maximise the space you do have available by tucking into the smallest areas of your garden.
Our Weybourne Summerhouseis a great example of this, as it has a unique shape that has been specifically designed to nestle right into the corner. It is available in three different sizes: 2.4 x 2.4m, 3.0 x 3.0m and 3.6 x 3.6m, meaning you can choose the size that best suits your space.
If you prefer something that is more contemporary in style, our Holt Studio is another building that would work well in a corner space with two solid walls and two fully-glazed walls, allowing it to slot elegantly into the corner with an unhindered view of your surrounding garden. Our Holt is a modern, sleek building that we have recently introduced to our Studio range, with an attractive roof overhang, veranda, and a pent roof, which can help make a building look more inconspicuous in a smaller space if you want a slightly more subtle look.
Small Garden Buildings
If you are looking for a space-saving garden building solution, a small garden building will more than likely be the ideal choice. As all of our garden buildings are tailor-made and handmade to order, we are able to create our designs in a wide range of sizes that will fit into smaller gardens or particularly tricky areas of a bigger garden. Whether you require a storage shed, a relaxation space, or a garden office, you can achieve these functions to a brilliant standard using smaller buildings.
Our modern-style Classic Office is a great option for a building that is suitable for working inside that also does not impose on your garden. It measures 2.4 x 3.0m but it is big enough to fit up to two desks in opposite corners for two people working, or a desk and a storage unit for one person.
This 1.5 x 2.1m Superior Shed was designed for a customer who wanted a building that would fit at the bottom of their garden in line with the pathway. Although small, this shed is being used as a workshop: it is lined, insulated, double glazed, and fitted with an electric pack, ensuring that it is fully functioning and comfortable to work inside all throughout the year.
It can be hard to find a size that fits your requirements when you are looking for garden buildings for small spaces. We know that not everyone has a garden or a small space that can accommodate a standard size garden building, so we offer more bespoke sizes, alongside our standard sizes, to allow our customers a greater choice.
Garden Buildings with a Partition
You may be wanting both a storage and entertainment space in your garden, but when you are limited on space or have a smaller area of your garden in mind, it is not always easy to fit in two separate buildings. You can combat this by having a garden building with a partition installed. These buildings offer the best of both worlds as you can have somewhere to unwind with friends and family, while also having an area to securely store your belongings.
This 2.4 x 4.2m Salthouse would be ideal for a dual-purpose garden building. The main section of the building is lined, insulated, and double glazed, with an electric pack and heater also installed, providing a comfortable year-round use living space. The partitioned section measures 2.4 x 1.2m creating a roomy section for storing items such as garden tools and fold-up furniture.
As well as being able to create a wide range of sizes, our garden buildings can be customised to your needs. You can choose from different paint ranges, roof coverings, window options, cladding types, and a whole range of interior options to create a building that is completely tailored to your tastes.
