Ickworth National Trust Summerhouse 2.4m x 2.4m (335378)
Model: Ickworth National Trust Summerhouse
Size: 2.4m x 2.4m (8ft x 8ft)
Summary:
Part of our National Trust range of garden buildings, the Ickworth is inspired by an old outbuilding at Ickworth House in Suffolk. It is a chalet style summerhouse that has an apex roof with an overhang and cross leaded windows made from toughened safety glass. It has olden style design features including black corrugated sheeting on the roof, cast iron Fleur-de-Leys hinges and door furniture with a mortice lock and traditional cladding using timber boards that are vertically sawn.
This particular Ickworth has been installed at our St Albans show site, measuring 2.4 x 2.4m. It was hand-built to order using FSC® certified timber that is machined from Scandinavian Redwood grown close to the Arctic Circle. To finish the building, the exterior timber has been coating using the paint shade ‘Painters Grey’ from the six-shade National Trust colour palette.
