Visit The Royal Norfolk Show 2016

By Aaron Bannell - 29th June 2016

The Royal Norfolk Show opens its doors this morning for two days of events, food, shopping and fun.

The county show, at the Norfolk Showground on the outskirts of Norwich is the UK's largest county show and offers visitors the chance to see prize winning horses and livestock, a number of events and fun shows such as dog agility, duck herding and pig racing.

Treat yourself to a delicious lunch at the Adnams Food & Drink experience, with its theme of Grow it, Cook it, Eat it. More than 70 local food and drink producers will tempt you with tantalising flavours and smells. Sizzling sausages, locally-grown strawberries, seafood

You may even be able to catch a glimpse of Monty Don (of Gardeners World fame), HRH The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall who are paying a visit on Wednesday 29 June.

The show is hosting 28 of the Horse of the Year Show qualifier events and with over 1,300 horses expected to compete in over 200 classes, from heavy horses to young riders, horse lovers will be spoilt for choice.

The show prides itself on celebrating the heritage, achievements and successes of Norfolk institutions and organisation. Although we are not exhibiting at the show, we love going to take a look around at the 650+ stands and get involved in some of the fun.

There is something for everyone, young or old and its guaranteed to be a great day out. We hope that the weather treats us kindly, but even if it doesn't we'll still be making the most of the day.

Our Norfolk show centre and HQ is just 40 minutes away from the showground, on A47 between Kings Lynn & Norwich, so if you're travelling past our door, why not pop in and have a look at our range of 40+ show buildings on display and have a chat to one of our friendly team to discuss any requirements you may have for a garden building.
