Festivals and Markets in the Surrey area this Month

By Sarah Rumbles - 1st November 2016

Autumn is in full-swing, tricks or treats have been doled out and Halloween is over, and now November is here! That means there are markets and stalls popping up all over the place for us to eagerly pick out home-grown and homemade produce.

There seems to be a lot of these markets popping up around the Surrey area this November, with craft markets, harvest festivals, winter festivals, food festivals… you name it festival-wise and it will more than likely be taking place!

Here are some of our favourite sounding events:

Arts & Crafts Market in Staines

These are a regular occurrence in Staines, as well as Wokingham, and they offer a wonderful range of handmade goodies to admire and buy in an outdoor market on the high street. Everything on these stalls is handmade and artisan, so you know that whatever you buy here will be one of a kind. The next fair in Staines is Thursday 3rd November.

Taste of Wisely Harvest FestivalHarvest Wheelbarrow

RHS Wisely is in full harvest mode, since their harvest celebrations started at the beginning of October, and they are continuing right through to the end of November. As well as getting to enjoy the beautiful gardens at Wisely, you will also get to enjoy some wonderful food: you can expect lots apple-related treats since they have 670 different types of apple growing on site. Watch out for cider and chutneys, and lots of them.

Winter Market at Guildford Cathedral

Taking place on the 18th and 19th November, this is going to be a great opportunity to get into a Christmassy mood! Situated in the grand cathedral, this will act as a wonderful backdrop for the festive stalls that will be inside, showing off an array of gifts, books, chocolates, clothing and all manner of lovely treats to get you in the festive spirit.

Located in the middle of all of these exciting-sounding markets and festivals is our show centre in Sunningdale, along with Hillier’s Garden Centre. In amongst all of this festival fun, maybe you’ve been thinking about a Garden Studio to work on your own craft hobbies, a Shed or Greenhouse to grown your own produce, or a Summerhouse to sit and enjoy your market goodies in.

If you want to come on by and see our high-quality timber buildings, our helpful team will be more than happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
