Show Site Cleaner - SE & Midlands area


Responsible for performing routine cleaning and basic grounds maintenance tasks on show sites and display buildings across our estate. This role will involve daily travel to show sites in the South East region, and will include staying away from home once a fortnight for one or two nights on an agreed rota visiting our show sites in the Midlands area.  


 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Report into the showsite manager to ascertain specific tasks or requirements
  • Clean all windows, vacuum, and dust all display furniture to ensure a high standard of display is maintained in all display buildings
  • Weed gardens and planters and treat pathways with weed killer within the show site boundary. Possibly mow and strim grass area on one site.
  • Clean and maintain the outside and inside of all buildings and display signage on the showsite
  • Polish all door furniture and fixings
  • Perform other basic tasks and associated work related to show site cleaning & maintenance, display buildings and sales offices as requested
  • Plan and schedule workload, travel routes to ensure all agreed sites are visited and routine jobs completed

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:


  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cleaning, facilities, or maintenance role with a good understanding of H&S procedures would be preferred.
  • Good communication skills, confident to engage with customers and staff across all areas
  • Able to work outside all year round.
  • Able to prioritise and work in a self-managed capacity to get the job done
  • Must be fully mobile with a full UK licence and over 21years of age to meet insurance requirements
  • Experience of using mowers, strimmer’s, and basic cleaning tools would be an advantage
  • Able to work flexible hours if required
  • Full training for this role is provided, however we must highlight the fact that this is a physically demanding job, so candidates with the will to push themselves and experience of cleaning and exceeding expectations would be preferable

  • Basic salary relative to experience

Usual working week is 45hrs Mon – Friday – flexible start and finish times to allow for travel and location


As this role involves working alongside the general public a DBS check will be carried out prior to appointment

Salary: £20k - £24k plus benefits package including work
