Area Sales Manager
We are looking for a sales professional based in the Berks, Beds or Bucks area who has a proven track record in Sales Management or multi-site retail management to join our team. This Area management position will oversee a group of show sites visiting each one on a regular rotation, monitoring performance and training and supporting all sales staff, ensuring targets are achieved.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the National Sales Manager you will have responsibility for our show sites within Surrey, Hertfordshire, Berkshire,West Sussex and Oxfordshire
- Tour the show sites on a regular rotation to monitor & mentor the sales team to maximise possible sales
- Oversee the work undertaken by show site managers and their teams identifying best practice while ensuring adherence to company processes and policy
- Mentor, develop and train the sales teams monitoring personal performance and helping them to progress from being good to become truly outstanding
- Assisting with all aspects of people management including interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews
- Providing, organising and delivering both product and sales training sessions
- Ensuring standards for quality of advice, customer service and health and safety are met
- Analysing and interpreting performance figures to facilitate mentoring and identify further training requirements
- Working with The National Sales Manager assist in the setting of future sales targets and budgets, developing plans to ensure growth both in the long and short-term
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports and submit your findings and analysis to senior management
Required skills:
- Effective leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate sales teams
- Excellent administration, organisation and time management with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads and delegate accordingly
- Excellent communication and “people skills” a good motivator, considerate, perceptive and aware
- Positive, enthusiastic and willing to become an expert in our products
- Analytical with a good understanding of numerical data and reporting
- Stress and conflict resolution
- Self-motivated and flexible to meet the needs of the role
- Good working knowledge of complete MS Office package
- Excellent sales skills, understanding of the importance of delivering excellent customer service
- Skilled at identifying issues and concerns
Remuneration:
- Basic salary inline with experience

Salary: £27,500 - £44,000 OTE
