National Trust Blickling Garden Shed with Georgian Style Windows
Perfectly suited to the style of our customer’s cosy, country garden with its large, colourful bushes, and pretty flowers, this National Trust Blickling Garden Shed has been installed in Bradenstoke, Wiltshire to use as a shed to store their gardening equipment inside.
At 1.8 x 3.0m, this is the smallest Blickling we make, but it is the right size for our customer’s needs and it fits very snuggly in the corner they’ve placed it.
The Blickling is unique among the National Trust range of Garden Sheds, as it has a 0.90m wide logstore incorporated into its design; however, it is our understanding that this customer is going to use this space to store their wheelbarrow in for easy access and to free up space in their main shed section.
Since the National Trust range of buildings were designed with outbuildings from National Trust estates in mind, they have inhabited some of the olden style features from these buildings, including Georgian style windows, black cast iron door furniture, corrugated roofing material, and roughly cut, vertical sawn boards for the external cladding.
To finish the shed, the customer chose to have it painted in the colour, Terrace Green, which is a dark green colour, and one of the six colours that can be chosen from the National Trust paint range with these buildings.
