Weybourne Summerhouse with Cedar Shingle Tiles
This Weybourne Summerhouse has been installed in our customer’s lovely garden in Midhurst, West Sussex.
The Summerhouse slots in well in the corner of the customer’s garden, giving them a good vantage point to see their garden from; this is because the Weybourne is a corner summerhouse. This is evident from the front corner being cut off to fit the double doors in with the roof overhang. This makes the Weybourne a very helpful option for customers who have more awkwardly shaped or smaller gardens with limited space.
The cedar shingle tiles on the roof of this summerhouse have begun to silver down to their natural colour in this photograph. The photo was taken by the customer several months after the building was installed, which is why the tiles aren’t the vibrant terracotta colour as they would normally be when first installed.
There are double doors in the front of the summerhouse, and then there are two sets of windows, a set on either side of the doors with two opening windows in each. The windows and doors have also been painted a different colour to the external cladding; they have been painted in Valtti Ivory to contrast nicely with the Valtti Verdigris that has been used to paint the shiplap.
Inside the summerhouse, the customer opted for painted matchboard lining on the walls, insulation in the walls and ceiling, and a Natural lacquer on the floor to give it a protective sheen.
The customer has added some lovely, comfy furnishings to make this summerhouse a wonderful, relaxing haven for them to enjoy their garden from.
