Oxburgh National Trust Shed in Hassocks, West Sussex
This rustic style Oxburgh Shed, installed in Hassocks, West Sussex, seems to have blended in nicely with our customer’s garden. It was selected by our customer as they were in need of a shed where they could store their gardening equipment and the styling of the Oxburgh suited the traditional tone of their garden. The Oxburgh Shed
is part of our range of National Trust Buildings, which have designs inspired by existing National Trust properties in East Anglia, with a percentage of each building sold going back to the Trust to help them protect and preserve the special buildings they look after.
The Oxburgh is a traditionally styled garden shed crafted from FSC® certified Scandinavian Redwood. It has a pent roof covered in olden-style black corrugated roofing, Georgian style windows and cast-iron black door furniture with a mortice lock. It is clad using vertically sawn boards which are designed to give the building a more rustic look.
Our customer had a specific place in mind for their shed, so they elected to have their Oxburgh in the 1.8 x 2.4m size, which sits snuggly at the bottom of their garden. The 1.8 x 2.4m size is the smallest size we make in this shed, so if you require bigger, we also make it in sizes 1.8 x 3.0m and 2.4 x 3.0m. This customer chose to have the exterior of their shed painted in the colour Disraeli Green to complement the greenery surrounding it, but there are five other colours to choose from in the National Trust Colour Palette if you would prefer a different shade.
As with all of our garden buildings, this Oxburgh Shed was hand-built to order inside our factory in Narford, Norfolk by our talented craftsmen and women before being delivered and installed by members of our expert installations team.
