This tailor-made Burnham Studio
is 2.4 x 4.2m in size, and it has been installed in our customer’s lovely garden in Arundel, West Sussex, to use as both a year-round relaxation room and a storage space with the help of a partition.
The Burnham is a modern-style studio with fully glazed doors and windows to allow plenty of natural light inside, along with a traditional apex roof to create a building that is a blend of the two styles.
Cedar shingle tiles have been used to cover the roof: our cedar shingle tiles start off a bright terracotta in colour, and they begin to silver as they age. This process takes around six months, so after this silvering process, the roof will be a very similar colour to the paint colour the customer chose, which is called Ash from our Exterior paint range.
The storage partition on this building is 2.4 x 1.2m with a solid joinery door for the customer to keep their garden tools and equipment inside. The main part of the studio is 2.4 x 3.0m in size, and it has painted matchboard lining in Ivory, and is fully insulated to create a warm, cosy room that can be used throughout the year.
Well I'm delighted that all appeared to go so smoothly for you team who came over to construct the "shed"! Thank you to you and all staff involved in purchase and construction of the building: it is a superb piece of work and the quality of the workmanship is much to be admired. We are delighted with our "Burnham studio" although maybe it should be re-named Burnham Palace! Please convey a message of appreciation to all your staff involved including those at your base, your friendly fitters like the three musketeers in the photo and sub-contractors such as Callum the electrician.

The windows are also all double glazed, and there are two fanlight windows on the back wall for ventilation. The customer also chose to have an electric pack fitted, so they will have light and power all through the year.
The final feature the customer chose is to have guttering along the front side to protect the doors from excess rainfall and to prevent the bottom boards from rotting prematurely.
