Burnham Studio with Low Pitched Roof
This Burnham Studio is 2.4 x 3.0m in size, and it has been installed in our customer’s garden in South Petherton, Somerset to use as a comfortable, secluded reading room with a wonderful view of their garden and house through the full-length glass windows and doors.
Due to the positioning of the studio in their garden, and to avoid having to apply for Planning Permission, the customer asked if we could lower the pitch of the roof to put the building under the correct height.
We happily agreed to do this for the customer, so they still have a building with an apex roof, which is what they wanted, and it complies with the planning regulation rules.
Well I'm delighted that all appeared to go so smoothly for you team who came over to construct the "shed"! Thank you to you and all staff involved in purchase and construction of the building: it is a superb piece of work and the quality of the workmanship is much to be admired. We are delighted with our "Burnham studio" although maybe it should be re-named Burnham Palace! Please convey a message of appreciation to all your staff involved including those at your base, your friendly fitters like the three musketeers in the photo and sub-contractors such as Callum the electrician.
Mr & Mrs M - Cambridgeshire - March 2017
Grey slate effect tiles have been individually laid on the roof, and other external features include black guttering, polished chrome door furniture, and the paint colour the customer is Twine from our Valtti paint range, which they’ve chosen to match the colour of the doors and windows on their house.
Internally, this studio is suitable for year-round use, with full insulation, natural matchboard lining, an electrical pack, double glazing, and draught excluders in the doors and windows, giving the customer the ability to set-up their bookcases, books and a nice comfortable chair to enjoy their new reading room whenever the mood takes him.
