A 2.4 x 3.0m traditionally attractive garden building, this Cley Summerhouse has been installed in our customer’s garden in Madingley, Cambridgeshire to use as a home (garden) office. Tucked away at the bottom of their garden, the client gets the benefit of a dedicated office space to work from in peace and quiet.
Garden offices are becoming increasingly popular, as they help to cut commuting costs, and they offer a place to work that is separate to your house that you can step away from in the evenings.
This particular Cley is fully suited to year-round use, as the customer chose to have full insulation, natural matchboard lining (this is standard with this building), double glazed windows, and an electric pack with a heater, making the building perfect to use as an office, even in the winter.
Everything was well explained and communication was constant and timely. The sales team at Hilliers Hermitage went out of their way to come to our garden and show us how our ordered Cley Summerhouse would fit. The installation team - Craig and Mark - were wonderfully helpful with their suggestions for how to position internal fittings, as was the electrician.

The customer wanted a traditionally styled garden office, which is why they chose the Cley with its hipped roof. To accentuate this style further, the customer chose to have cedar shingle tiles on the roof, leaded windows, and the building has been painted in our exterior paint system in Sage, a natural green colour.
