This little Blakeney Summerhouse has been installed in our customer’s garden to use as a reading retreat that she can relax in and enjoy her garden from.
The Blakeney is a chalet style summerhouse that has an apex roof and an overhang, with fully glazed double doors and windows in the front gable, giving a similar look to a beach hut.
This Blakeney has got grey slate composite tiles on the roof, which are made from a highly durable material that has a life expectancy of 50 years. The grey of the tiles has been paired with the paint colour Lizard from our Valtti colour range, which offers a natural colour with an opaque coverage of paint that has a long re-decoration cycle.
The cladding on this summerhouse is shiplap, which is formed of planks of FSC® certified timber that have been planed for smoothness and then slotted together to give this even finish.
All of the windows in this summerhouse are double glazed for a bit of extra insulation, and two of the windows can be opened. Inside, the customer didn’t opt for lining or insulation in the walls or ceiling, but they have chosen to have floor insulation, so it may be that they are thinking of insulating the building themselves in the future.
This is a very charming little summerhouse, and if you would like to know more about our high quality Summerhouses, you can come and see them for yourself at any one of our six Show Centres across the country, or you can call us on 01760 444229 or send an online enquiry so that we can help answer any questions you have.
