This 8’ x 10’ Blakeney Summerhouse with apex roof has been installed in our customer’s garden to be used as a traditional summerhouse to use purely in the summer to enjoy their garden from.
There are double doors in the front gable end with a single window on both sides of the doors.
There is also another window on both sides of the summerhouse, and the window on the right gable end can be opened.
There is a roof overhang over the front of the building, giving a nice amount of shade protection, and there is heavy duty felt on the roof for a thick, non-rip, protective layer. The felt is also torched on to the roof, so you can be sure that it will be waterproof, as there won’t be any potential holes made from nails.
The cladding is shiplap, which gives the building its smooth appearance, as opposed to the rustic look of weatherboard. The building has been painted in our Light Oak preservative, which keeps the timber as its natural colour and still allows you to see the grain underneath it. This is the standard coat coverage we will give our buildings, so that the timber has some form of protection; our customers will be able to either repaint it in a colour of their choice, or they can keep topping up the preservative to keep it looking natural.
